PROJECT MANAGEMENT
:: Business
metrics
Understanding the metrics of the business (i.e. what are the
quantifiable limits of success/failure against business goals) is
key to project management. JDWCS staff are trained to integrate line
of business performance/goals with project management milestones.
This ensures that the wider picture is taken into account and
adhered to.
In summary, the key goals are based around the Time, Cost,
Deliverable and Quality metrics. All of which are related back to
line of business objectives.
:: Risk identification, measurement and
management
An integral part of project management is the ability to monitor for
risk, forecast associated risk (i.e. that which has affect from an
external point of view both out/inwardly on a project) and
manage/mitigate risk to a level acceptable to the project.
These aspects are taken into account from the smallest through the
largest of projects managed by JDWCS.
